All players must have a current USA Lacrosse membership. You must register first with USA Lacrosse and then return to this registration session to sign up.
If you have not already signed up with USA Lacrosse, please follow these steps:
- Step 1: Obtain a USA Lacrosse Membership
- IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT USA LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP: CLICK HERE
- Each athlete must have their own unique USA Lacrosse membership
- TO LOOK UP/RENEW A USA LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP: CLICK HERE
- Step 2: Once you have your player’s USA Lacrosse Membership ID, return to this registration and proceed. Later in this session, you will be asked to enter that USA Lacrosse Membership ID.
USA LACROSSE MEMBERSHIPS MUST BE VALID THROUGH August 1st, 2026.
2026 REGISTRATION POLICIES

For Grades 5–8, registration will close on February 28, 2026.

For Grades 1–4, registration will close on March 28, 2026.

Registration is not complete until payment is received in full.

Your player must have a USA Lacrosse number valid through August 1, 2026 (for insurance purposes; non-refundable).

Please check the website periodically for more detailed information regarding required equipment, practices, etc. by going to the Girls Youth Program and clicking on the appropriate grade level.

There will be a $25 late fee after February 1st for players in grades 3–8.
Information for Grades 5-8 (Juniors and Seniors):
- 2026 Season: Early March - June 7, 2026
- Cost: $230
- Practice Days:
- Indoor practices will be held on Sundays in March
- Outdoor practice days and times will be communicated as soon as possible
- Location:
- March indoor practices: Socceroof in Hamden
- Outdoor practices (Starting in April, weather permitting): Bartlem Park
- Team composition: 7/8 - A & B Format
- Skill-based tryout on Sunday 3/22
- Team composition: 5/6 - TBD, will be based on registration numbers
- Games: TBD. Games may be played on any day of the week and weekends.
- Required equipment: Game uniform, practice pinnie, girl’s stick, colored mouth guard, cleats, goggles certified by SEI (see Safety Equipment Institute website for a list of SEI-certified goggles)
- Uniform and Practice Pinnie: To be purchased prior to the season via Cheshire Sport. The uniform and practice pinnie are an additional fee and are not included in the registration fee.
Information for Grades 3-4 (Lightning):
- 2026 Season: Early March - June 7, 2026
- Cost: $230
- Practice Days:
- Indoor practices will be held on Sundays in March

- Location:

- Outdoor practices (Starting in April, weather permitting): Bartlem Park
- Team composition: Combined 1st/2nd
- Games: TBD. Games may be played on any day of the week and weekends
- Required equipment: Game uniform, practice pinnie, girl’s stick, colored mouth guard, cleats, goggles certified by SEI (see Safety Equipment Institute website for a list of SEI-certified goggles)
- Uniform and Practice Pinnie: To be purchased prior to the season via Cheshire Sport. The uniform and practice pinnie are an additional fee and are not included in the registration fee.
Information for PreK-Kindergarten Clinic:
- 2026 Season: 6-week clinic on Wednesday evenings (4/22/26-5/27/26)
- Cost: $75
- Purpose: To have fun and begin to introduce the players to girls lacrosse. The girls will practice passing, catching, ground balls, shooting, relay races and mini game play.
- Practice day: Wednesday evenings
- Location: Bartlem Park
- Games: N/A (Clinic format only)
- Required equipment: Girl’s stick, goggles and colored mouth guard
